One Family in God

This weekend the Family Learning Center had it's cultural arts contest. John William did a wonderful painting. Emily did an original song, a poem, and an artwork. Marshall wrote a song called "One Family in God". I got video of the song and uploaded it to YouTube so that our friends cool see it. Marshall wrote the words and sings it while Emily plays guitar for it. Enjoy!

Family Learning Center 2008 Prom

Emily went to the prom last night at the Rimkok resort. The kids had a great time getting dressed up and having a special evening. Emily designed her own dress and had a local seamstress, Joy, put it together. The fabric was around 700 baht ($25) and the seamstress was 1000 baht ($33). She looked beautiful in the dress!



One tradition that I like here is that they have a time before the prom where parents are invited. There's snacks and pictures taken. The Quinley's, a local missions family, were kind enough to set up a professional photo shoot. We'll post the pictures when we get them. The local newspaper even came out to take photos.

I've got some slideshows here from our family vacation. We had a great time in Koh Chang, Thailand. It was great to spend some focused family time. William did a lot of writing, Cindy did a lot of reading, and the kids did a lot of swimming!

We went down to the beach for a little vacation with the family. It's been wonderful and we've been staying at the "Whitehouse Resort" on Koh Chang. It's been a great time with the family and we've spent a lot of quality pool time together. Above is a picture of William with John William and Marshall.

This has been a much needed time for our family to spend together and prepare for the coming year in missions!

We've had a great time at Dolphin Bay Resort with the family! We've all spent some time in the pool together. Here's a picture of some fun that the boys and I were having.

Cindy's parents, John and Ellen, stayed with us in Thailand after the church mission trip and we've have some special time together. We went to Chiang Mai and got these pictures done one night. John and Ellen did some traveling around and seeing the sights by Tuk-Tuk. After that we went down to the beach at Dolphin Bay Resort. It was a wonderful time for the family! We relaxed, swam, went for walks and collected shells. The boys have become such good swimmers. Emily and I went for an "open water" swim in the ocean and it was a neat time together. She's becoming such a young lady. It's amazing to see her growing, maturing, and coming into her own.

We'll remember these times together for years!

Sunday we were at the Karin church with the SFBC team. Emily got this great picture of our Maabaan, Suwan with our two boys: John William; and Marshall. We had a wonderful visit with the church and have been working with them all week to help build their new Sunday School building.
